Horton again as Crash Disrupt's Sprint

James Horton (VC St Raphael) avoided a crash in the last few metres to calmly win another sprint at Moreton in Dorset. It was Horton’s third win in the Bournemouth Cycleworks sponsored series this year, proving just too fast for another couple of Moreton regulars, Phil Cole (Bournemouth Cyclworks-Vitecfire Ford Civil), 2nd and Julian Lockwood (Primera-Teamjobs) in 3rd place. Behind Horton, Cole & Lockwood, three riders came down as they ran out of room in the congested finale.
Jon Clemas (Bournemouth Cycleworks Vitec Fire Ford Civil), last weeks winner, Matt Todd & Steve Pink (Poole Wheelers) touched wheels as the bunch jostled for position, Clemas fared the worse but all walked away, a snapped frame and broken wheel among the reported damage. Before this finish line drama an uneventful evening had seen the scratch group bring the race together with 3 laps remaining.
In the womens race, Kate Bowers (Bournemouth Cycleworks Vitec Fire Ford Civil) traded blows with Steph Lewars (Poole Wheelers), the pair attacking each other in turn. Bowers got the verdict leading out the sprint from distance as Lewars sat up.
