Waite to Stand Down after Long Service.

Long standing British Cycling South Region Board chairman Mick Waite has decided to stand down. A board member for 50 years and Chairman for 32, Mick is also the founder and promoter of the Perfs Pedal race, the season opening southern classic. Mick will remain involved in local cycling and in particular the Perfs event but feels it is time for new, younger members to take the region forward. In 2015, the 50th anniversary of Perfs, Mick Waite was awarded the British Cycling Badge of Honour. Waite is also the long time sponsor of the VC ST Raphael club and his contribution to cycle racing in the south has been immense.
