William Wilson of CC Weymouth is currently writing a book about the life and sporting career of Marguerite Wilson. She rode for Bournemouth Arrow between 1934 and 1938 before becoming the first Professional woman cyclist in the UK; She was a prolific record breaker. William is particularly keen to hear from any of Marguerites club-mates who could give a first-hand account of the era. William accepts this is a bit of a long-shot as any club mates will be well into their nineties by now! If you are interested in learning more about Marguerite Wilson, she has a Wikipedia page. There is Pathe Newsreel clip - go to Pathe Library and search for `Airways Girl`. --- Any information will be gratefully received - William Wilson (CC Weymouth). drwgwilson@aol.com
