The New Forest CC 10 this Saturday has been cancelled due to road-works including traffic-lights, two-way traffic and road markings removed on the Sopley one-way system. Organiser Martin Balk spoke to a Council official who contacted the contractors who confirmed they will actually be working there on Saturday.
“With great regret and much frustration, the Open 10 mile Time Trial on Saturday the 28th September has been cancelled due to road works. Bournemouth Cycle Works the sponsors of this event have kindly agreed to transfer the sponsorship to the club Open 10 on Boxing day.”

EVENT HQ. BISTERNE CHURCH VILLAGE HALL AT BISTERNE ON B3347 APPROX 3 MILES SOUTH OF RINGWOOD.
NUMBERS AND SIGN ON SHEET ARE AVAILABLE AT HQ. AND SIGN ON SHEET.
No cycles or shoe plates in the hall please.
Please note parking at HQ is limited, due to larger entry I am try to arrange extra parking. Please note parking is available in nearby laybys.
Directions to the start, turn right out of the event HQ and proceed north on the B3347 approx. 2 miles. Pass the start and find a safe place to turn ( recommend the mini roundabout at Ringwood) prior to retracing south.
COURSE DETAILS - P303 CTT Observers may be in attendance along the course
START at drain at end of gravel lay-by opposite Elim Cottage approximately 100 yards north of the Ringwood sign on B3347. Proceed South to Sopley one-way system where LEFT (4.5m) (CARE –some two-way traffic) into Derrit Lane to Bransgore (6.4m). Turn left (CARE – Give Way to traffic coming from the right) on unclassified road from Bransgore to North Kingston. Proceed towards Crow, TAKING CARE at RIGHT TURN (sp Burley 5) to FINISH opposite farm gate 20yds before TP8.
