The weather was damp but dry when 55 riders left in small groups from Bisterne Village Hall at 9am. They followed a clockwise route round the New Forest via Fordingbridge, Downton, Lover, Fritham, Brockenhurst, Burley, Thorney Hill and Ripley, 50 miles in total. Half way round the sun came out and it got even better on the "runway" towards Stoney Cross as groups hit 30mph due to the easterlytailwind. First home amongst the 7 who opted for the 33 mile route were Michelle and Richard Walter. Those doing the 50 mile route were led in by the New Forest crew of Lyndon Thompson et al. Back at HQ there was a generous spread of cakes plus a free drink.
Thanks to Steve Moss for starting the riders safely and Peter Perrin and family plus Jennie Stain for managing the catering.
The Reliability season continues on 9th December with the Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers 100K.
