Starting 15 minutes ahead of Duggleby,Mark Turnbull (Torq Performance) looked solid all day and was never caught despite a rough patch some 6 hours in, Turnball pulling back time on the finishing circuit at Hingham to clock 311.905 miles.
Stephen Williamson (...a3crg) was off the bike with "skinsuit issues" on the Browick-Eccles Road circuit but stayed calm and went on to post 300.514 miles for third place. Along with a 1.36.20 50 mile time and a 3.16.51, 100 Duggleby now leads the British Best All-Rounder competition with an average speed of 29.352.
Jill Willkinson (Chester RC) had scheduled for 280 miles in an attempt to break Beryl Burtons long standing record. Wilkinson, supported by husband & Mens record holder Andy, started well but also suffered an early puncture and fell behind the required pace as the wind and temperature rose, 272.763 miles an impressive ride but still nearly 5 miles shy of Burtons 277.25 set in 1967.
