Inter Club Hill Climb Series Returns on Sunday

The popular Interclub Hill climb competition returns on Sunday 27th September with the CC Weymouth event on the previously unused climb at Bincombe Down. Mud, Sweat’n & Gears won the title in 2014, M,S &G could not provide an individual winner but there strength in numbers approach secured enough points to take the series, The Dorchester based team will promote a climb this year extending the series to 5 events The inter club series has revitalised the hill climb season in Dorset with over 60 riders signing on at Whiteway in 2014.

Cycle Club Weymouth Hill Climb

NOTE : Start at 10:00am
The CCW event starts at the metal gate at the bottom of the Ridgeway adopted road
cycle path (SY674851), finish top dead centre of bridge over A354 (SY671859).
Sign on is under the A354 bridge at the bottom of the course. Nearest postcode is
DT3 5PS.

Directions :
1. From Weymouth on the Dorchester Road through Upwey and up to the junction
with the A354.
2. From Dorchester by car - Come off of the Dorchester to Weymouth road (A354) at
the Bincombe / Upwey exit.
3. From Dorchester by bike – come up the cycle track on the Dorchester to
Weymouth A354 road and turn right at the bridge at the top.
4. Come up from Broadmayne (3 miles east of Dorchester) on Chalky Road (left at
crossroads in village) and continue straight on at the sharp right hand corner over
top of hill. Continue up and over to the bridge over the main A354 Weymouth to
Dorchester road. By coming this way you will have covered all of the MSG hill climb
route from Broadmayne.
