A limited field of 18 hardy riders took to the P164 25 mile time trial course on a beautifully warm evening in the New Forest on Tuesday. The course is two laps from Lyndhurst, Ipley Crossroads, Colbury and Ashurst. A stiff southwesterly wind aided the riders nicely from Lyndhurst to Ipley, the riders then had to push hard into the head wind for the remainder of the event, which was particularly tough at the end of the second lap. Ben Boardman, on his birthday showed no signs of slowing down with old age and dominated the field in a swift time of 57:52 ahead of Sasha Ring in 59:24. Steward Ward also managed to sneak under the fabled hour mark in 59:48. Graham Lenton produced a great time of 1:00:24 having ridden an equally challenging event on Sunday morning along with Steve Skinner in 1:04:26, who was about a minute behind Joe Phillips in 1:03:28. Newcomer Jack Shepherd produced a very respectable time of 1:05:40 in his first TT. Thanks to Andrew Hanley
