Following on from the hugely successful Tour Series finale held in Jersey the Island once again plays host to its annual BCF races held over the August bank holiday weekend. The event now in its 5th year has grown and become very popular due to its picturesque setting and friendly racing. The event this year is held on the August bank holiday weekend and features three days of racing with the first event on Saturday 23rd being a circuit race on the islands closed one mile Race circuit. Sunday 24th is the prestigious Town Crit event held in the Capital of the Island, St Helier. Previous winners include Graham Briggs, Ian Bibby and Greg Mansel along with Lucy Garner and Hannah Walker winning previous women’s race. Monday 25th is the final event and is a demanding 75 mile RR held on the west of the Island.
The events boast very good prize money and each day not only is there a National B race but also a Regional B for 3rd and 4th Category riders and a ladies event. The Island also guarantees great weather and hospitality so definitely worth the travel.
