Eastwood's Deliverance!

Jason Eastwood (Banjo Cycles) crossed the line at Moreton strumming an imaginary banjo. He said he was playing “Duelling Banjos” but it looked far easier than that as he delivered his 4th win of the series. Calum Croft (Mud, Sweat n’ Gears) led the sprint out but was sitting up before the line as Eastwood pulled away. Croft, who had won the previous week after Eastwoods puncture, was shadowed by the Banjo man for the last lap. Eastwood feinted with 200 metres to go forcing Croft to react, taking both to the front, before accelerating to his musical celebration. Reliable Roland Tilley (Ridebike.co.uk) just pipped Matt Hill (Primera-UK Biking) for third. Impressing in 8th place was 14 year old Josh Hooper (Primera-UK Biking).Another full field enjoyed calm, still conditions, even the local farmers suspended their annual silage shifting to accommodate the race.
