Keightley King on Kingston Hill!

Lewis Keightley (Primera-sports.com) won the opening round of the inter-club hill climb series on Kingston Hill above Corfe Castle. Keightley flew up the twisting climb, clocking 2:00:32,only course record holder Pete Dainty has gone faster. The Primera man regularly dishes out the pain on the Tuesday night shop ride and has surely put himself in the frame for next weekend’s Purbeck 2 day race. Dainty broke the 32 year old record with a stunning 01:58:00 ride back in 1997.

Simon McLaughlin (BJW) edged out James Horton (PW) by just 300ths/ sec to take second place and maximum points in the four-climb competition, Keightley is inelligible. Its early days but the individual title looks to be between McLaughlin,training partner Ryan Weston(PW) & Horton.

A super field of fifty five riders signed on for the opening round of the hill climb series, high up in the Purbecks. Next week the action moves to Portland, the CC Weymouth event kicking off at 09:00.
