Time Trialling legend & former champion at the distance, Glenn Longland (Antelope RT) was first to finish and briefly held the course record before Dighton rocketed past the chequered board. All agreed it was a hard morning, the headwind, 7 mile stretch out to Troy Town on the Tolpuddle by-pass was a real grovel. Of course it was fast on the return but do you ever get back what you lose? The Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers have been awarded the 50 mile Championships next year and organiser Bill Simmons was pretty pleased with the new course “Perhaps a few tweaks” he said. Dighton has also won the Jubilee 10 and finished second in the 25 this season and was promptly invited to the clubs annual dinner in November.
