Eastwood Strikes! Moreton Race 3

Normal service was resumed as prolific winner Jason Eastwood (Primera-sport.com) chalked up his first win in the 2013 evening series in Dorset. Eastwood won a clean sprint, half a wheel ahead of a fast improving Jordan Wade (VC ST Raphael). Wade in turn held off Daryl Price (Poole Wh), coming hard on his inside. The fourteen strong scratch group lacked cohesion to start but as the numbers thinned things began to gel and the time gaps tumbled. It was just 20 seconds at the bell and the catch was a formality. Once again a full field of 60 signed on, heavy showers left the roads wet and by the end riders were complaining of the cold.

Message from UK-BIKING
We are overwhelmed by the number of riders turning up to our first 2 events. For safety reasons we are only allowed to race with 60 riders, and unfortunately, for the first time in the 9 years of the event, we had to turn riders away last Thursday.
We would like to say thank you to the unfortunate riders for their understanding and accepting this obvious disappointment.
As a result, we are now looking into setting up an online entry system in time for the 4th event on 30th May. Although it doesn't change the problem of the rider cap, it does give everyone a fair chance of entering races and also avoids the queues and turning people away on the night.
We are planning to allow riders to enter any of the remaining 9 events and pay online. This system will only be available to current TLI card holders and entry fees will be non-refundable. The rider list will be viewable and if there are spaces you can still enter on the line.

We hope to have something up and running by Friday. So please watch this space for further information.

Thanks for your support and understanding.
