The Crabwood CC 70th anniversary 10 mile time trial fell victim to the depressing spring weather. Heavy rain and standing water left organiser Claire Newman little option but to postpone the event. On the back side of the circuit puddles of water concealed potholes and the B 3347 at Avon became a water park. There were few complaints from the riders as most repaired to the Elm Tree Inn to talk of better days. Ale in the bar,upstairs for tea and cake. Claire hopes to run the event in August alongside her ladies two-up promotion.
