Early season racing in the UK can be pretty trying, wind, rain, snow and ice all conspire to make it a sport for “hard men”.
The will and determination of organisers, the unquestionable commitment from riders, and the optimistic stoicism of Marshalls and race officials are clearly on display.
Cyclists do not lie down easily!
Tough days are talked about fondly long after the suffering has been forgotten. Overshoes and grit in your eyes will be long forgotten,long, sunny days lie ahead!
