Poole Wheelers Plan a Busy Year in 2013!!


The Poole Wheelers have been in touch with details of a packed programme of racing & training.
PROGRAMME OF EVENTS 2013
Because there is so much happening within the club this year we have decided to produce the following list as a reminder – we would hate you to miss anything!


1st and 3rd Saturday in every month until the end of April Track sessions for all ages and abilities 1pm to 3pm at Bournemouth Cycle Centre. See Discussion page the week before for any changes/details. Email graham@hurstbro.co.uk

2nd and 4th Monday in every month from May until August Track sessions for all ages and abilities 6.30pm to 8.30pm As above

15th June YOUTH OMNIUM, starts 10.30am, help needed from 9am, organiser Graham Hurst. Bournemouth Cycle Centre Lots of help needed for this event all day, please let Graham know what you can do to assist. Email graham@hurstbro.co.uk

28th July Open Track Meeting, starts 10.30am, help needed from 9am, organiser Gordon (Zoom) Skillen. Bournemouth Cycle Centre. Lots of help needed for this all day, please let Gordon know what you can do to assist. Riders, of course, are excused! Email Gordon at ggrs@sky.com



Monday nights until the end of March Turbo sessions from 8-9pm at Upton Community Centre run by Adam, there is a big screen and Adam is going to film some of the time trial courses so you can do the event without even getting on the road! Cost £5 per session, turbos provided.

CLUB RUNS Club runs from Fleetsbridge, 8.30am Saturdays, 9am Sundays organised by Richard and Jude Martin, email rjm@hotmail.com
Please ensure that you have a spare tube and/or puncture repair kit.


Wednesdays until 3rd April, restarting 4th September. Club ride from the clubroom at 7pm then coffee and a chat afterwards.

Wednesday 26th June
GHS South DC Championships on the P459/10 course organised by Graham Hurst. Open to riders between the ages of 12-16. Marshalls and timekeepers will be needed.

Sunday 21st July Harold Cribb 25 incorporating South DC Championships, organised by Paul Hughes. Help will be needed with signs, marshalling, timekeeping and teas – and riders would be good.

Saturday 31st August BRITISH TIME TRIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ORGANISED BY POOLE WHEELERS – event Secretary Ros Spencer. We will need plenty of marshalls, timekeepers, signs, teas and of course riders. This is a National event and we need to impress.
