New Forest CC Club 10 31/07/12

Bob Jolliffe reports.....NEW Forest Cycling Club’s Gary Lock was in stunning form in the latest club 10 around two laps of the difficult Holmsley South-Bransgore circuit.His time of 23min 26secs was enough to beat clubmate Ben Boardman, who is also in top condition, into second place by 39 seconds.Third went to James Bannister, a further 46 seconds in arrears, with 24-51.Two other home riders – Chris Grant and Tony Rendell – slotted into fourth and fifth with times of 25-14 and 25-20, while second claim member Stuart Grace (GA Cycles) took sixth with 26-04, 23 seconds faster than Bournemouth Arrow CC’s Peter Wilson.Others (NFCC unless stated): Rob Brinsdon and Hugh Roper tied with 26-43, Sean Williams 26-56, Nick Williams 26-59, Dan Mitchell 27-03, Richard Mason 27-09, Phil Underwood 27-13, Stuart Martingale (Sotonia CC) 27-14, David Wilson 27-39, Konnor Bracher-Walsh 27-53, Julian Sheppard (Sotonia CC) 28-02, Keith Bradfield 28-06, Donna Shaw 30-48, Antony Moyle 31-01, Richard Wills 31-07, Chris Mills 31-11, Roger Bacon 32-09, Glenn Harrison (Come and Try It ride) 33-02.
Earlier starts from next week
Next Tuesday’s 10 on the P303 course from North Kingston will start at the earlier time of 6.30pm, as will the rest of New Forest’s Tuesday evening club events until the end of the season, with the exception of the freewheeling competition at Hincheslea on August 28, which will start at 6.45pm.
