Lock second to Bryson
New Forest CC’s Gary Lock took second place behind Contre la Montre’s Andrew Bryson in the Southampton Tri Club evening 10 at Lyndhurst, Bryson winning in 22-24 to Lock’s 22-38.Oliver Hitchings of Peter Hansford Racing was third with 23-37 followed by Simon Barnes (GA Cycles) and Colin Yates (Sotonia CC) who tied with 23-43.Mike Barnfield of the promoting club was sixth with 23-49, Gary Allan (GA Cycles) 23-50, Owen Harris (Soton TC) 23-51 and Ray Claridge (GA Cycles) ninth with 23-55.Among the 47-strong field were New Forest CC’s Rob Brinsdon and Dan Mitchell who finished with 26-09 and 26-34 respectively.
Dyer beats Beale in Arrow 10
VC St Raphael’s Bryce Dyer won the latest Bournemouth Arrow 10 at Ringwood in 22-03 on a hot Thursday evening from teammate Martin Beale.Beale finished in 22-42 and beat Primera’s Richard Horton into third by nine seconds.Other New Forest CC times: Howard Doe 24-35, Richard Rajski 25-46, Gary Plumb 26-04, David Wilson 26-08. There were 26 starters in the solo field. Contre la Montre’s James Gilfillan teamed up with Poole Whrs Paul Jones and Gary Dighton to clock a three-up time of 20-27.
