Packing in the miles for a seven-day Alpine event has not affected the speed of New Forest Cycling Club’s Gary Lock.He powered around the second and final 10-mile event in the Thorney Hill series in 23min 31sec to take his second victory and win the competition outright with an aggregate time of 47-12.Second place on the night, and overall, went to Ben Boardman who clocked 23-59 to make a final tally of 48-55.“I was pleased,” Gary said after the finish at the summit of Braggers Wood Hill. “Ben’s coming into some form as well.
