Daniel Lloyd will be racing for Team IG- Sigma Sport this year. After 8 years in the profesional peloton Lloyd was staring at retirement after Garmin-Cervelo decided not to renew his contract. The team's race programme has yet to be finalised but expect a mix of big domestic races and some Continental racing. He took some time off the bike while considering his options but is now back training hard and loking forward to the coming season. Hugely experienced, Lloyd has raced in Asia, North America and of course Europe. Twice a finisher in the Giro de Italia,the former mountain biker also finished the 2010 Tour De France. A big fan of the "Cobbled Classics, he has ridden the Tour of Flanders, Gent- Wevelgem and the Amstel Gold Race. Speaking on Twitter he said, "I had a lot of ex-pro's encouraging me not to stop. Lots of hard work ahead now" Formerly Sigma Sport-Specialized, the team will continue to use Specialized frames with Campagnolo components.
