I must congratulate Steve Way (Bournemouth AC)on his performance at the London Marathon last weekend. An injury back in December delayed Steve's preparation by some three weeks and he was not as fit as he would have liked. However he showed some real character and was in the "Zone" from 18 miles onwards "I had to focus or i would have lost 30 secs a mile" Steve comes for a massage every week so i know him very well and i know how hard he trains, i tell him not to do 140 mile weeks but he does them anyway! Steve finished in 22nd place, 5th Brit and on the back of this performance is confident of being selected for England later in the season. Amazingly, Steve's time was exactly the same as last years time, down to the second!!
