East Dorset Cycling Association 27km

An all local affair saw Bryce Dyer (VC ST Raphael) come out on top with a time of 37.10, ahead of teammate Julian Thacker 37.28 with veteran Terry Icke (Poole Wheelers) 3rd in 37.51. Starting at Gallows Hill, south of Bere Regis, the course followed undulating, rural Dorset lanes, through the sleepy village of Moreton, past Wool to finish up on Worgret Heath. Warm spring sunshine with

a gentle breeze made it a good day to be out on the bike. Icke, backed up by former Olympic Games team time trial rider, Gary Dighton 37.54 and Andy Buddle 38.57 lead Poole Wh to the team award. Louise Burman (AC3RG) won the ladies event with a time 43.52 from Claire Fraser (Army Cycling Union)47.07.
